The tour train season is scheduled to operate from August 1 to October 10 this year.
Several of the tour train coaches were scattered all over the shops area of the yard, but I did not see any of the F40s; they may have been inside or on the other side of the engine shop buildings.
Thanks Chris
Was this taken in Algoma territory? How did a Wisconsin & Southern Loco get there? Maybe on loan to CN?
CN no longer owns/operates the Algoma Central. The line was sold and transferred ownership to WATCO in February; now operating as the “Agawa Canyon Railroad”. Wisconsin & Southern is another railroad owned by WATCO, so a few of the engines transferred up from there. 4 SD40-2s (all in Wisconsin & Southern colours) and 2 GP40-3s (in WATCO’s black and yellow company colours) have been assigned to the property.
Nice grab Chris. Is the Canyon tour train running with 2, or 3 of the F40’s ??
