CN Trains at Hearst

These numbers taken from a 1979 timetable.

While 272/273 are officially listed as mixed trains, by the early 1980s these appear to have operated as passenger only, with a lumber mill at Calstock served by a yard job out of Hearst. There were no other customers on the entire line. By the early-mid 1980s westbound traffic was forwarded over the ACR to Oba due to the extremely poor conditions and light rail of the track. In 1986 CN abandoned the line between Hearst and Nakina save for a few miles between Hearst and Calstock maintained as a spur.
