I’m working with Patrick Lawson in Victoria, BC on an article for RMC on the Hawker-Siddelley 52′-8″ IL buklhead flats from the mid 70’s. I’ve looked through your Canadian Freight Car Gallery and found some info. but some questions arise about who originally owned cars and where they went. Photo spotting is challenging when Marine Industries 51’6″ IL cars are in the same roster. The MIL cars have 12 stake pockets, the HST and RailWest Manufacturing (BC Rail Squamish shops) cars have 15. Many cars went to MRL in 1993 but then had stake pockets torched off and new ones added.
Patrick has already done 3D drawings on a CN car and I’ve put together a spreadsheet but want weed out errors before publishing anything. As you know, AC also had 25 of the HST cars built in January 1975.
Can you please DM me at the email address below. Thank you !
